At Hellevad Watermill you can work as a volunteer through WWOOF or Workaway. This is aimed at people who would like to live and work as an organic farmer or organic chef or just be part of a meaningful volunteer workplace experience.
Decades of experience with hosting volunteers have made them an integral part of this concept. Our volunteers come from all parts of the world from various social backgrounds. What comes across is a desire to live and learn at an organic farm in Denmark, to become part of a working community and an extended family. For many this experience have given them inspiration and a new insight into their projected future. For us it continues to be an inspiration having enthusiastic and innovative people around that help running the farm and the households, hopefully we also manages to teach them a trick or two while they are here.
If you would like to become a volunteer you can contact us through WWOF or WORKAWAY or directly by mail. Except for January we operate all year and have room for 2-4 volunteers at any given time. The minimum period is three weeks.
