A farm holiday is a joy for your senses. You can see, hear, smell, feel and taste that you are on an organic farm. In season we offer breakfast and dinner to our guests and our cuisine is – according to our many regular guests – one of the main reasons that Hellevad Watermill as a compulsory part of their summer holiday.
At breakfast you will be served fresh traditional Danish style bread just out of the oven plus rye bread and crispbread, all of it prepared with flower from the farm. Porridge with flakes, whole grain and fruit compotes. Home-made muesli with assorted organic dairy products from natural Milk, eggs straight from the coop, home-made marmalade, honey, local cheeses and salami, fruits in season, juice and coffee as much as you like
Dinner consists of a main course served buffet style with meat, vegetables, salads and bread. We grow most of the herbs ourselves and spice our food a bit more than our parents did. At dinner there will be water from our own well and an option to buy beer, wine and soft drinks – all organic, of course. We finish each dinner with a yummy desert and serve coffee (simultaneously), which is a Danish custom that might horrify true Brits.
